The Plothole
The Plothole

On NeS1 Page 1, Zuljin was introduced by Roger Spruce the Writer. When he appeared he instantly decided to help Rob X from an attack made by Blobs. There is the suggestion that the two Characters knew each other already. Despite his best intentions, Zuljin's actions caused the Blobs to multiply and made the situation far worse for everyone in the Arena at the time. Although Zuljin made this initial, dramatic entrance - it remains his only contribution to the Never-ending Story. Zuljin's actions in the NeS were replaced in NeS Illustrated, instead of Zuljin mutiplying the Blobs it was Rob X himself.

The Force

Zuljin seems capable of using the force to exert his inner will. In this case he uses Force Destruction[Ext 1], based on the original Star Wars[Ext 2] attack, which explodes an area including the user himself[NeS1 1].

Zuljin has the very unique ability to will himself in and out of existence, which, when used, can break time-loops[NeS1 2].

Beam Sword

Zuljin owns a light sabre, like many Characters of early NeS, which is an energy weapon capable of cutting through most materials except other energy beams when the clash as firmly as swords[NeS1 1].

Zuljin is an audience member in the bleachers of Ares' Colosseum when Ares and Cygnus X accidentally induce a time-loop on the entire colosseum through Ares' PowerPlaying. To break the time-loop, Zuljin wills himself out of existence[NeS1 1]. When he wills himself back again he attacks leftovers in the arena, saving Rob X, but winds up making matters worse as the leftovers split and multiply with each stroke of his light sabre until there's hundreds of them. He resorts to using his Force powers to explode the blobs, which leaves him for dead underneath a hot dog cart[NeS1 2].
