The Western Roman Empire, also known as the Byzantine Empire, was the western half of what had been Rome as a whole. It stood alone after the fall of Eastern Rome and the city of Rome itself. It had an emperor on its throne and Sir Sagramore was an heir to that throne while still a Knight of the Round Table for Britannia. It was said the Western Roman Empire had thousands of soldiers for battles.
