Benjamin Mahir once found himself tagging along with the NeS Heroes before he was selected to become the Company Kid for Hero Force One. In Hero Force One he usually did the menial tasks, such as fetching tea, while sometimes being tasked with subterfuge missions. The heavy-hitting combat is usually left to the other team members. He is inherently sceptical of the meta-story concept and for this Dr R. Deep entrusts Mahir to keep other members of the team level-headed when faced with meta-story believers.

When Hero Force One awoke to find that the Earth was missing a meeting is called in Command aboard Orbital One[HFO 2]. Mahir, as usual, is asked to serve the tea rather than do anything overtly important. Dr R. Deep decides that they should visit The Oracle for answers[HFO 3]. Mahir reflects on his position in the team as he stares out of a window at where the Earth once was. He considers if he'd want to forget everything that came before but gets annoyed when Qhobeg asks for more coffee, despite being served tea[HFO 1]. The team head down to the planet with the Oracle on it and instantly get attacked by a worm-like monster[HFO 4].
